Crews have been searching for hours for two young boys missing from a Wolfe County Campground.
Officials say they went missing from the Koomer Ridge campground near the Mountain Parkway.
Family members say 5-year-old Michael Esposito and his cousin, 7-year-old Adrian Ross went missing when they were camping with family.
Michael's mother tells us her husband and her father were setting up a tent and fixing dinner when the two boys went missing.
She says it appears a miscommunication between the men led to the boys' disappearance.
"I think it was a situation where both of them thought the other one was watching the boys. And there were five boys, all running around like crazy, and you know, if you see three of the five at any given time, you don't necessarily realize that two of them are not there," Julia Esposito, Michael's mother, told LEX 18.
Michael's mother said search k-9s picked up on a scent but it was too early to tell if it was the boys.

Rescue crews searching for two missing boys in Wolfe County
Updated: Fri 5:16 AM, Oct 09, 2015
WOLF COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Search and rescue officials in Wolfe County are currently looking for two missing boys.
Family members say the two boys, Adrian and Michael, were last seen at a Coomer Ridge campsite around 6 p.m. Thursday evening. According to officials, the names of the boys have not been released because officials have not received permission from the parents. However, we were told two boys are ages 5 and 7.
Officials believe the boys are lost somewhere in the woods. They say the five-year-old is wearing an orange shirt and checkered pants. The seven-year-old is wearing a navy polo/golf shirt, jeans and blue Asic shoes.
The search is currently on-going. Rescue crews say blood hounds and a helicopter are both being used to assist in the search.
Continue to check back for updates as we try to gather more information.
