Going to rrg in a couple weeks with a 8 year old and a 15 year old. Looking for good places to camp that's not to much of a hike to get to the site. But also near a nice sized creek or swimming hole?

Most of the popular areas that match most of your description are found along Indian Creek Road 9. However, a large section of the road (9B) is currently closed for Stream Restoration and that closes access to many options. Also, I cannot find any notation that mentions 'Foot Travel' being allowed passed the gate at 9B. This leaves Gravel Roads 23 (along the Red River just off the Iron Bridge), 9 and 9A each offer sites with pools of water and little to no hiking required. The only drawback now is the normal flow of visitors now will compete for fewer sites so arrive early if you plan on a weekend trip. If during the week you should have few to no issues. Good Luck, Let us know how it goes. www.floydcountytimes.com/news/sports/152150842/Trout-stockings-in-East-Fork-of-Indian-Creek-in-Menifee-County-postponed-until-fall
